The Artist Behind the Work

Roland Carter’s work is shaped by travel, colour and a deeply personal sense of spirituality.

Inspired by time spent in the Caribbean, Roland draws from its intense light, vibrant colours and natural energy. These experiences have become part of his visual language — transformed into paintings that balance freedom, emotion and intuition.

For Roland, colour is more than something to see. It carries memory, energy and spirit. Each painting is an original expression of that connection, created to bring its own presence and atmosphere into a space.

Original works by Roland Carter

are held in private collections worldwide, including Los Angeles, Tokyo, Aruba, Bern, Boston and Amsterdam.

About Roland

Roland

Roland began painting in 2010, developing a practice shaped by spirituality, travel and a fascination with the energy that connects people, places and life itself.

Working primarily on a large scale, Roland creates expressive paintings intended to hold a presence within the spaces they inhabit. Colour, movement and symbolism come together intuitively, drawing from experiences gathered across different cultures, landscapes and moments in life.

For Roland, a painting is not simply something to look at. It is something to live with.

Each original is created as a one-of-one work, made to become part of a home and the life that unfolds around it.
