Creadores
Roland Carter, a Groningen-based painter whose art speaks louder than words. In this first episode of CREADORES, we dive into his creative process, his journey, and the moments that shaped his artistic identity. Raw, honest, and deeply human , this is what it means to create.
I started painting in 2010, driven by a feeling of nothingness. Since then, creating art has become something that comes naturally a flow that feels as if it comes directly from the source.
My work consists of large, colorful, psychedelic figurative paintings inspired by everyday life, geometric patterns, nature, love, family, travel, and the full spectrum of color. While I often return to reds, yellows, and blacks, I enjoy exploring every color available to me.
Painting is my daily ritual. I begin with a coffee, prepare some food, and then spend the day in the studio, allowing the work to unfold without forcing it. Each painting is unique because it is a genuine act of creation.
Travel has also shaped my perspective. Places like Florida, the Caribbean, and the vibrant cultural scene of Groningen continue to inspire my work and remind me that art is everywhere if you're open to seeing it.
